Brake service

At Auto Pros of Woodstock we pride ourselves on getting brakes done right. You get the measurements and an estimate, so you can make an informed decision.

What the free inspection covers

• All friction materials and brake rotors are measured and compared to original equipment specifications.
• Calipers and wheel cylinders are tested to make sure pistons and slides move with minimal resistance.
• Bleeder screws are opened, and hoses and metal lines are checked for leaks, cracking or heavy rust.
• The master cylinder and brake fluid are tested and inspected.

The parts we use

Our premium brake pad sets carry a lifetime warranty and come in semi-metallic or ceramic, depending on what your vehicle needs. They include shims and new caliper hardware clips for maximum performance, longer pad life and cleaner wheels. We remove and thoroughly clean the caliper bridges so the pads fit perfectly.

When rotors are needed, we use premium painted rotors engineered to withstand 120 hours of salt spray. They meet or exceed OE design and carry a 2 year, 24,000 mile nationwide warranty. Our calipers use 100% SAE-specific rubber seals, are pressure tested, and carry the same 2 year, 24,000 mile coverage.

Why brake fluid matters

Brake fluid is hygroscopic: it absorbs moisture from the air. That moisture lowers its boiling point, so it can boil under heavy braking and cause brake fade or failure, and it corrodes metal parts inside the system. Brake fluid replacement is discounted with any brake service.

If you live in Woodstock, Bull Valley, Marengo, Harvard, Huntley, McHenry or a nearby community and suspect a brake problem or noise, stop in or call to schedule your free brake inspection.
